First Use

A guide for those using redENGINE Lua executor for the first time.

Step 1: Create an account on https://redengine.eu/signup then go to clients area and click on the “Redeem” button and put your key.

Step 2: After having Redeem your key clicked on the “Download” button in your client area, then you must extract the folder to your desktop

Step 3: Open redEngine & FiveM.

Step 4: Open redENGINE and inject it and wait about 10/30 seconds in FiveM and press INSERT or F11 to verify that redENGINE is injected, if it is not injected then check here

Step 5: Then after having injected redENGINE join any FiveM server, after having passed the loading screen and you have spawned you can use redENGINE and have fun!

**Launcher closes after "Requesting Injection" - what do I do?**
Delete the file `settings.cock` from the folder where the program is located and then try to inject again.

**I get "This version of the game is not supported" error?**
You cannot run redENGINE without adhesive.dll on your FiveM files. You need to reinstall FiveM to run it again.

**Nothing happens when I try to open the launcher?**
redENGINE launcher cannot be opened from a folder which is in OneDrive or has special symbols in the path. Move it to `C:\` to fix it. You can also try right-clicking the launcher, then press "Run compatibility troubleshooter". Even if it says "No issues found", you can press "Try recommended options".

**Game crashes when I press "Fix Blinking"?**
1. Restart FiveM and redENGINE, and press "Fix Blinking" before and after injecting the menu
2. If that doesn't work, remove modified resolutions, remove ReShade and modified citizens
3. Try again and don't spam the Fix Blinking button

**I get "Error connecting to the server" message?**
This error happens when your ISP or an application is blocking the connection. Using a VPN may solve it. The full error usually says: "A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time."

**redENGINE injected successfully but nothing appears when I press F11 or INSERT?**
Go to your GTA V folder and find a file called `imgui.ini`. Open it, delete everything inside, and save the file. Now open redENGINE and FiveM again and make sure Steam overlay is enabled.

**I'm getting .dll errors (program can't start because ###.dll is missing)?**
This gets fixed by installing DirectX runtime files. Here are the common fixes:
